Orthodontic Assistant

As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting orthodontists in their daily clinical duties. Your primary responsibility will be to assist orthodontists during patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven experience as an orthodontic assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice

  • Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization methods

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

  • Attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety

  • Ensure all orthodontic procedures and treatments meet professional standards and guidelines

  • Coordinate with other dental professionals and staff to ensure seamless patient care.

  • Perform preliminary dental procedures such as removing braces and wires 

  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment used in orthodontic procedures

  • Assist orthodontists during patient consultations, examinations, and treatments
